Does anyone have the original copy of the Awake 2015 Jan before it was changed?
by jwfacts injan used a famous scientist to garner misleading support for creation, quoting rama singh as saying "the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.
2015 jan p.3) whilst the quote is accurate, it misrepresents singh's intention.
singh continues in the same paragraph, "there are several reasons why facts of evolution are not easily comprehensible by the general masses.

I remember when I went to the KH with a beard on they would give me the dirtiest looks. Funny though some of my family members liked it. -

Ha ha ha they are getting cheaper and cheaper but I bet they want the same contributions though. I seen one of those stupid carts way out in the middle of no where and to actually think they put in time when they are not talking to anyone. -

The Dubs and marraige
by William Penwell injust have to rant here for a bit.. i was on the phone earlier with my dub sister.
she was telling me how her daughter, my niece, just met a "nice man" (i take it he is a good dub), that things were going good and that if things go as plan they would probably be married this coming summer.
now this is after my niece just got out of a dysfunctional marriage of 20 years and their divorce was just finalized this last november.

Ironically, all the obsession and preoccupation with the lures of sexuality cause MORE of a "forbidden fruit" mentality that leads to more sexual activity not less!
I speak out of my own experience as I always felt the only reason I got marries was to obtain that "forbidden fruit". Me and the ex were not compatible and it ended up in a loveless marriage where I was only doing my duty to work and provide for my family. Thus my marriage eventually fell apart.
William-Your niece must be approaching 40. The number of available men in the Borg her age are few and far between. She may be afraid that if she doesn't 'take' this guy, she will miss the boat altogether and be forced to spend her life alone forever. It is just the mentality of the JW's. They can't just meet and date and have a nice time, dating is always a means to an end in the Borg.
Yes she is about that age. I was on my own for almost twenty years. I learned the hard way it is better to be happy and alone rather than in a relationship and miserable. I do understand where my niece is coming from as knowing the bad advice she is probably getting from the elders and family, although it did not surprise me when I heard the news.

Laugh-out-Loud BS from Insight Book
by berrygerry inhow would it be possible in 1,000 years to resurrect and educate the billions now in the grave?.
nevertheless, an illustration reveals what a simple, practical thing jehovah has in mind for mankind.
not to prophesy, but merely for the purpose of illustration, let us assume that those who compose the great crowd of righteous persons who come out of the great tribulation on this system of things alive (re 7:9, 14) number about 6,000,000 (about 1/1000 of earths present population).

Now this is after my niece just got out of a dysfunctional marriage of 20 years and their divorce was just finalized this last November. At this point I had to slap myself in the back of the head and bite my tongue. All I said was, that was nice and hope that she was happy. Anyway, what is wrong with these dubs that they seem to think they need to get into another relationship so soon? You would think that once burnt they would not be so quick to get onto another relationship so quickly. I know my nieces first marriage was a fairly fast engagement, so I would have thought the second time around she would take her time before she jumped into another marriage. I just know that the Elders advice, like it was to me, is to get married ASAP. The worst advice I ever had by the way. Well all I hope that she is making the right choices. Just my little rant. I sure am glad I have nothing to do with this cult controlling BS anymore.

Born to Be Conned - The New York Times
by paul from cleveland inborn to be conned - new york times.
when people want to believe what they want to believe, david sullivan, a professional cult infiltrator, told the commonwealth club of california, a public affairs forum, in july 2010, they are very hard to dissuade.
and the reason it happens (and often happens to the most intelligent people) is that human nature is wired toward creating meaning out of meaninglessness..

Holy $shit!! Awesome article. Nobody, nobody thinks they are joining a cult. They believe they are joining a group that promotes 100% health, eternal life, perfection, perfect world.....cheating death whether it's by resurrection or living through the big A. You see, that's how people get duped, nothing more than a mirage.
The dubs and most religions appeal to humans fear of death. Growing up as a dub we were made to believe we would not see death but live through that big A into a paradise earth, only to find out over the years it was all a big lie.

I would have to say yes and no. In the early 70's the 1975 push was on and so I did not apply myself as I was brain washed into going into the full time ministry work. As it goes this was an eye opener for me as I seen first hand the hypocrisy from some of these so called full time ministers, that turned me off. In the long run they did me a favor as this was the start to me questioning the organizations claim as the spirit directed organization. Years later after I was married and had to work full time to support my family I started to take night school courses to upgrade my skills. This eventually ended me up getting a better job, all be it not the work I would have preferred but at least I was able to a good living where I could be able to build up a pension and retire early. Now I pursue my first love in the entertainment industry, not as a career but as a hobby. This is something the borg always frowned upon but I am doing it for myself and not to make anyone else happy. -

Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter
by James Jack injust got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

I am glad I decided to study chemistry and then get an MBA. I'd be well and truly screwed now if I took the advice of the CO's......
Yeah I worked for 36 years for the same company with a good pension plan and I am able to retire and live comfortably. Even though I did not have a great paying job as we were told not to get a higher education, I had a good paying job. It is funny though if I was still in the organization that they would have their money grubbing hands open for donations. If I would have listened to the organization I would have nothing
